Academic Conduct

First and foremost, Editing Press Inc. is an independent collective of junior academics. Our conduct is guided by the rules and regulations of the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge, though no part of our collective makes any representation whatsoever on behalf of these or other institutions.

A foremost concern in our editorial work is that it is not to facilitate academic misconduct, especially plagiarism. Proofreading and editing do not fall afoul of standing rules of academic conduct. It is common practice for academics to receive editorial assistance prior to the submission or publication of important work. The services we provide to our clients are therefore no different than what we would provide to our institutional colleagues.

Upon request, we would be happy to provide you with a certificate indicating that the editorial assistance you have received from us does not breach standing rules of academic conduct. To do this, we need to receive from you a link to your institution’s published rules and regulations concerning written material.
